Pretoria, 5 November 2025 — The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of South Africa, in partnership with the Tayfin Royale Hotel and Conference Centre (under the direction of Mr. Mahomed Mahier Tayob, CEO of Tayfin Forensics) and the South Africa and Kazakhstan Trading and Cultural Association (SAKTCA), directed by Dr. Asadullah Karimov, successfully hosted a Roundtable Discussion on “Investment Opportunities in Kazakhstan” at the Tayfin Royale Conference Centre in Pretoria.
The event brought together many prominent business leaders and investors from South Africa, Namibia, and Mozambique, who gathered to explore Kazakhstan’s growing investment and economic potential. The discussions highlighted key sectors of opportunity — including innovation, technology, logistics, agriculture, mining and education — underscoring Kazakhstan’s transformation into a dynamic hub for global investors.
In his opening remarks, His Excellency Mr. Yerkin Akhinzhanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to South Africa, reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to strengthening economic and trade relations with Southern Africa. The keynote presentation, “Investment Opportunities in Kazakhstan,” provided detailed insights into the country’s strategic advantages, favorable investment climate, and emerging sectors for international collaboration.


Renowned South African Leader Dr. Mathews Phosa served as Master of Ceremonies, guiding the program with insightful commentary and facilitating productive discussions among participants.
The roundtable concluded with a networking session and luncheon, fostering meaningful dialogue and paving the way for long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships between Kazakhstan and the business community of Southern Africa.
As a gesture of recognition and appreciation, His Excellency Mr. Yerkin Akhinzhanov presented Letters of Appreciation to Dr. Mathews Phosa, Mr. Mahomed Mahier Tayob, and Dr. Asadullah Karimov in acknowledgment of their valuable contributions towards strengthening partnership, friendship, and bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and South Africa.
This landmark event marks another significant step forward in deepening bilateral cooperation and enhancing economic connectivity between Kazakhstan and the African continent.
